Bison Transport has been working with several agencies that strive to assist with the transition of military members to civilian life through meaningful employment. As a result of our increased involvement with the military, Bison has increased its support of military initiatives and associations such as Canada Company, Wreaths Across Canada, the PPCLI Memorial Baton Relay and the Candlelight Service of Remembrance held at the Field of Honour in Winnipeg’s Brookside Cemetery. For many years Bison has been actively involved with Canada’s Lord Strathcona Horseman RH, Canada’s only mounted regiment. During this process, Bison has also earned the status of a ‘Military Friendly Employer’.
Bison Transport encourages businesses and individuals to show appreciation and provide support for our military men and women in Canada. Canada is a great nation! We enjoy a safe, free and democratic society with open borders, and that comes at a price. Our military families, past and present, have borne tremendous personal cost and we encourage individuals and corporations to get involved and to show our respect and appreciation.
