A time like none other; COVID-19 swept the globe leaving our economy in a whirlwind. The general population hid indoors to self-quarantine and practice safe physical distancing but our Drivers took a different approach. They stepped up to make sure the store shelves were stocked and that hospitals had the medical supplies they needed to keep people healthy. They provided an essential service to keep the world moving. It wasn't easy, but the frontline staff at Bison earned their stripes.

The maintenance team implemented rigorous cleaning and sanitizing processes to ensure all equipment coming out of the shop was safe.

Due to short supplies of hand sanitizer, the safety department was able to source bulk containers and many people pitched in to fill smaller containers by hand that could be provided to Drivers to take on the road. Over 7,000 containers were filled by hand.

Many truck stops and restaurants stopped serving food making it challenging for Drivers to source nutritional meals. Care packages were put together with the help of Loblaw and Costco to keep our Drivers moving.

Our customers showed their support in many ways for the challenging and essential work our Drivers were doing during a time of need.
