North American Occupational Safety & Health week also known as NAOSH and Health & Safety week, was first launched in June 1997, marked by an agreement between Canada, the United States and Mexico to establish health & safety as a focus to employers, employees and the public. This can be seen in the NAOSH logo. The three hands represent the 3 countries coming together to show the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace and developing a culture of safety in all levels of employment. This year NAOSH week kicks off on Sunday, May 3 and runs through Saturday, May 9, 2020. Each terminal will have its own set of events aimed at Driver, shop and office safety. Event dates and times will be posted in mid-April to The Herd and on each Health and Safety bulletin board.
