East

Florin Peltea

East_JAN21

Florin continues to help out wherever and whenever we need him too. He is always willing to run to places that many long-haul Drivers would typically not like to go to, as well as happily doing the long runs and resetting out on the road. He is curious and takes his driving very seriously, he is on-the-ball when it comes to appointments and breakdowns, he is very careful with his pre-trips and safety. I believe he embodies Success and Safety.

Central

Rajpal Singh Mahal

Central_JAN21

Raj has been with Bison for 1.5 years, and has been doing a great job. Just before Christmas, Raj loaded at Saint Louis, MO and was on his way to Winnipeg with short hours. Raj was already in South Dakota, 624 miles away from the shipper, when the customer reached out to Bison. They notified us that the shipper had made an error and had loaded the wrong freight into the trailer. They needed Raj to return as soon as possible and they were going to have a person waiting for him to take the product off the trailer, even though it was the weekend. Due to U.S. cabotage rules, we could not switch Raj out with anyone else or use an outside carrier for this. Raj was asked to go back to the shipper after all other options were exhausted. This put Raj out of hours to go home and left him on the road for a while. After the challenging situation was explained to Raj, he notified his family that he would not be home on time and that due to an unusual situation, he needed to stay on the road a few days longer. Raj then brought the load back to the shipper to offload and reload and finally came back to Winnipeg after his reset to gain the hours. His help with this was beyond appreciated by our team and we are thankful for his commitment to our business.

West

Daljit Singh Billen

West_JAN21

Daljit’s work ethic is often over and above our expectations. While waiting for a mechanic to show up for a repair in our Delta yard, Daljit used his personal vehicle to load up garbage and remove it. Most recently he rescued a high-priority load. He arrived at the yard, realized the load wasn’t there, and took it upon himself to bobtail to the trailer’s GPS location, managing to ensure that the delivery was completed on time. Daljit has done these types of acts VERY often, strongly supporting our team and doing a great job. He thinks ahead and is one of the high performers on his fleet. We appreciate all the hard work that Daljit puts in and could use another 10 Drivers like him.
