East

Harjit Singh Chohan

CHOHO01

Harjit has been consistently reaching his Bison mile targets. In addition, with the increased volume of certain meat loads, his fleet is pleased that he is one of two Drivers that will always assist when asked. Doing those particular loads sometimes requires him to start on a Sunday at 05:00 which in turn requires him to end his day early, and can reduce his possible miles. Harjit does not complain and does it professionally.

Central

Victor Nemetz

NEMV01

Victor is on a schedule departing every Saturday afternoon at 16:00. When Bison assigned that lane to him, he adjusted his home life to be able to service the customer weekly. The customer requires 100% on-time delivery, every Monday at 06:00, in the Chicago area. Upon his return, he completes another mid-west rounder. Victor is always professional to deal with, and often works with his fleet, making helpful suggestions for the rest of the week if he runs into delays on his first trip.

On November 9, Victor encountered another Bison Driver whose vehicle had broken down just south of the Emerson border crossing. On his way north, he had noticed that the Driver was uncoupled from his trailer and had his 4-way hazard flashers on. When Victor was on his return trip heading south, he saw that he was still there. He decided to stop to ensure that the other Bison Driver was okay, and to see if he needed anything. It turned out the other Driver was waiting for a tow. Victor offered him a coffee as he waited for the tow to arrive.

West

Andreas Bauer

BAUA01

Andreas was recently asked to drop his assigned plan in California, as Bison needed someone to help rescue another Driver that was in the hospital in Lodi, California. Bison asked Andreas to drop his trailer and bobtail to Lodi, first to retrieve the other Driver’s truck keys from the hospital, and then to retrieve the injured Driver's passport out of their tractor. This was to enable the injured Driver to fly home. Andreas did not hesitate when he was asked to help, even though the change of plans would affect his next projected time of arrival (PTA) to move his house. He ended up being 2 days late for his PTA, due in part to inclement weather conditions, but he remained positive about the rescue.
