Congratulations to our Drivers of the Month for February 2021. The Drivers of the Month are awarded a $250 Mastercard Gift Card and are now eligible to win the prestigious Driver of the Year award which earns bragging rights and $2,500 cash. Winners are selected based on the following criteria:
Bart has been setting an excellent example for the GTA city Fleet 010 Drivers. His accuracy, dedication, hard work and desire to improve is evident to each fleet team member and his Driver colleagues. Bart goes above and beyond, always striving to be better and more efficient. If Bart becomes delayed on his plans (which is extremely rare), he communicates not only to his fleet team, but reaches out to customers personally to let them know, apologizing on Bison's behalf. He is willing to cover any load and help his fleet team out with anything required, even when it has no benefit to himself. He represents Bison in a way we can only hope all Drivers do, whether interacting with customers on the road, or anyone. Bart is a model of excellence and was recommended for Driver of the Month to the highest degree.
Bobby is an Owner-Operator on Fleet X01 and runs open board. Bobby will reset and turn out any day of the week. He is very good at working with his fleet team. Recently there was a Bison company Driver whose truck had broken down in Dryden. Bobby noticed him sitting at the Husky, and the staff told him that he had been sitting there most of the day. Bobby spoke with the other Driver and discovered that he was waiting for his unit to be repaired. Bobby called the shop and asked how long it was going to be. They weren't sure as the current cold snap was delaying everything. At that point, Bobby decided to get him a ride to Winnipeg. He wanted him to be comfortable in a hotel rather than waiting at the Husky.
Gurjeet is highly valued by Fleet W02 for focusing on safety and on-time service. He never allows job difficulties to hold him back. Gurjeet has a passion for his career that he takes with him everywhere. He is happy to do anything helpful for Bison, and is able to stay calm and collected, even under stress. Gurjeet took it upon himself to repair his trailer in -25 weather to ensure his delivery was on-time. He is a hard working team player who wants Bison to succeed and will do anything in his power to make it happen.
