Just completed –finally. Saskatoon yard security/safety wall was completed today – with the last two days temperatures reaching record heat at 35C. Yard Supervisor, Adam McMartin, SK Manager, Rob Ruiters, and S20 Driver Ryan Mark, went through lots of water but finally the yard security walls are completed.
The Saskatoon yard was expanded recently, and the added trailer parking and increased LCV area is popular with our Drivers. It also has a, recently put in place, storage trailer for Driver basic supplies. We are also now examining the potential of having DEF available in the Saskatoon Yard in the coming months. This also follows the hiring of a mobile technician in Saskatoon last December - Travis Popoff.
Saskatoon yard is now all grown up.
We are happy to announce that after weeks of work being done, the new expansion area of the Saskatoon yard is going to be opened mid-June. This is welcome news for those of you who have frequented this yard and have experienced the congestion and busy coming/goings there. We are also happy to announce that a new storage facility has been opened in Saskatoon yard offering Drivers the opportunity to obtain some of the necessary supplies (windshield wash, oil, brake cleaner, windshield wipers, etc.) they may require instead of having to purchase them at a nearby truck stop.
